Summer Walker has already accomplished her motherhood “goal."
In January 2023, the “Yummy” singer, who is a mom of three, opened up on her Instagram about feeling fulfilled with her big family. “I really reached my goal of hella kids before 30,” Walker wrote. “I’m so happy lol [they're] all so sweet.”
The Grammy-nominated artist had her first child, a daughter named Bubbles Renee Walker with rapper London on Da Track in 2021. The next year, she and LVRD Pharoh, whose birth name is Larry, welcomed twin sons.
In 2022, the singer spoke to Essence about motherhood, saying it “brings you the most joy in the world.”
She also pointed out that “it's really hard, it's really stressful, and it's really a lot of sacrifice.” Walker continued of parenting, “Sometimes, it’s like, is it worth it? Then they smile and make your day, and the answer is yes.”
However, being a mother admittedly gave Walker a love she had "never felt before." Speaking to Yung Miami on Caresha Please in 2023, she said, “Every time I look at them [my kids], I’ll be like this is such a blessing.”
Here is everything to know about Summer Walker’s three kids.
She welcomed her daughter in 2021
Walker welcomed her first child, Bubbles Renee Walker, in 2021. The singer’s ex-boyfriend London on Da Track announced the birth of their daughter on Instagram.
“From the first time I held you in my arms I knew you were special,” he wrote under a photo of their newborn's hand. “I'm overwhelmed wit Joy I Can't even."
Walker revealed to Yung Miami in 2023 that her little girl’s name suits her attitude. “It works so much, like her personality [is] so bubbly," she explained. "She’s so silly.”
It seems Walker's daughter is already getting involved in her mom's career, too — Bubbles Renee was credited as a songwriter on the singer’s 2021 song “Session 33.”
She welcomed twins in 2022
Walker became a mom of three following the birth of her twin sons. The R&B artist shares her boys, whose names are not public, with rapper LVRD Pharoh. Although the pair split in 2022 ahead of their sons’ arrival, Walker noted on her Instagram Story that there were “no hard feelings.”
“Larry is an amazing father there's just certain things I won't tolerate, but we're super duper happy to have all our children & we just living life," she wrote. "He be at every swim class every photoshoot every dr appointment and every baby event."
After the twins' birth, Walker reflected on the experience on Instagram. “I’m so proud of myself,” she wrote in a since-deleted post, noting she carried the babies for nearly 42 weeks. The singer also revealed that LVRD Pharoh was present for the delivery. She dubbed him the “best dad doula ever,” noting he “was so hands on the whole time.”
She gave birth to her kids at home
When it came to her daughter and sons, Walker gave birth to all three at home. The artist called having all her kids “natural at home” her “biggest accomplishment" in a 2023 Instagram post.
After noting her twins' birth was around seven hours long, she added, "Bubbles was like 52 hours lord lol Like that’s really amazing , I am stronnng okay."
She is private when it comes to her children
Following the birth of her daughter, Walker vowed that she would not share pictures of her children online. Referencing a fan page with her newborn's nickname @1princessbubblegum, she wrote on Instagram, “So i guess a fan made this page, but let's be very clear, there will be no pictures of my child on the internet.”
Walker added, “So let's all forget I was pregnant and move on with our lives so i can enjoy my little angel in peace.” While she has since posted photos of her kids, the faces of her children are always censored.
Her daughter has raided her closet
In 2023, Walker shared an adorable video of her little girl walking in a pair of her platform heels and sporting Gucci glasses.
“She does this on her own lmao,” Walker captioned the video. “I be minding my business then boom she pop out dressed 😂.”
She wants more kids
During her sit down with Yung Miami in 2023, Walker revealed that she wanted to have more children.
“I just want more,” she confessed while getting emotional about her love for her kids. “I think I’m crazy," she added, laughing.
She has advocated for paid parental leave
In January 2024, Walker partnered with the formula brand Bobbie to talk about the importance of paid parental leave. Under a video montage of herself pregnant and of her kids breastfeeding, the R&B artist shared statistics on parenthood and work in the United States.
"One in four women living in the US returnsto work within two weeks of giving birth. 84% of all Americans support federal paid leave, and yet 73% of private sector employees don’t have it," she wrote. "At two weeks I was just beginning to physically, mentally and emotionally heal from giving birth so to know that parents are going back to work in this fragile state is just devastating."
After advocating for the Family and Medical Insurance Leave Act, Walker also announced that her partnership with Bobbie would award some fans a monetary gift if they shared their parental leave story in the comments.
